Of course, if you don’t fancy a swanky dinner or hotel stay, there are some excellent (dare we say it) FREE places to watch this year’s fireworks display.
- On the Kowloon side, Avenue of Stars will undoubtedly offer the best front-row seats to the display, although it goes without saying, get there very early to nab a spot.
- There’s also an outdoor area on the sixth floor of K11 MUSEA, which offers excellent harbour views.
- West Kowloon Art Park in front of the M+ Museum is an excellent place to relax and admire the display.
- Over on Hong Kong Island, Central Ferry Pier harbourfront will offer some of the best views; again, expect it to be busy.
- Close by, you could head to the rooftop at IFC or hop onboard the Hong Kong Observation Wheel.
- Pack a picnic and enjoy the fireworks from waterfront Tamar Park in Admiralty.
- And, of course, there’s always The Peak for uninterrupted bird’s eye views.
