What’s on in Hong Kong this September

UNSCHEDULED

Established by the Hong Kong Art Gallery Association (HKAGA), the new exhibition is far from traditional. Hoping to bring some spark back into Hong Kong’s art scene, this edition of UNSCHEDULED (the second after its debut in Tai Kwun last year) is particularly unique. The exhibit has been designed to reflect the venue’s former purpose: fashion.

Extended Figure: The Art and Inspiration of Lanlan

Asia Society Hong Kong Centre celebrates artist Xie Jing-Lan’s significance as a pioneer of cross-disciplinary art.

Ocean Park Summer Nature Playground 

The waterfront theme park will transform into Hong Kong’s biggest nature playground, with  interactive technology and a series of special missions for children to experience the wonders of nature.

Hungry Ghost Festival

Appease the spirits of ancestors and other restless spirits who return to roam the earth or just enjoy the day off.

Tamby Chan: CuteAnon

Sai Kung mystery night adventure

Discover Sai Kung’s nocturnal fauna on a unique night excursion around Sai Kung’s protected areas including orchards, farmlands, ponds and forests.

Chungking Mansion Tour 

Explore one of Hong Kong’s most notorious locations and gain a deeper understanding of what this place means to the African community before sitting down to enjoy an African buffet style lunch.

Calligraphy Tasting

A beginner level workshop for dip pen calligraphy. Learn basic dip pen writing techniques, gain knowledge of the pen and ink tools and practice words such as hello, thank you, happy birthday and more.

Tai Hang Fire Dragon Parade

Another example of Hong Kong’s traditional culture and a main part of the celebrations of the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Water World Ocean Park Grand Opening

The wait is over. Hong Kong’s Ocean Park highly anticipated water park featuring 27 indoor and outdoor, all-weather attractions will open its doors this month. Early-bird tickets available, prices vary. Ocean Park, Aberdeen.

Full Moon Charity Yoga
