Lash extensions in Hong Kong

What you need to know before getting eyelash extensions

Does it hurt? Will I get an allergy? How long does it last for?

In collaboration with Xtreme Lashes.

It’s easy to see why many busy Hong Kongers like getting their lashes done. Getting eyelash extensions can save you a ton of time from the daily lash curler and mascara humdrum. Unlike wearing mascara, the well-loved beauty procedure gives you longer lashes that stay smudge-free, even under our city’s high humidity

If you’re thinking of getting a set of extensions, there may be a few things you’ll want to know beforehand. That’s why we asked Jo Mousselli from Xtreme Lashes to give us the lowdown on what to expect when getting lash extensions at the award-winning beauty salon.

The process is pain-free

Before receiving the treatment, a Xtreme Lashes stylist will run a consultation session with you to design a customised set of lashes based on your lifestyle habits. The actual lash application process is surprisingly relaxing. During the treatment, you will lie comfortably reclined with your eyes closed while a professional beautician attach the faux lashes, strand by strand, onto your natural lashes.

The lashes are water-proof and allergy-safe

The faux lashes are made of synthetic fibers that are water-resistant and designed to mimic the look of your natural lashes. In comparison to mink lashes (made of genuine mink fur), synthetic lashes are safer to use and can hold the curl better.

It can last for four to six weeks

Your lash extensions will stay put through a full growth cycle of your natural lashes, typically four to six weeks. When your natural lashes shed at the end of each cycle, the extensions will also fall out. To keep the full effect of your lashes, go for a routine touch-up every two to three weeks.
