Two Hong Kong Hotels Named in World’s 50 Best Hotels List

Two Hong Kong hotels feature in the highly-anticipated World’s 50 Best Hotels list which was unveiled at a ceremony at the historic Guildhall in London on September 19, 2023.

This long-awaited list is 50 Best’s first foray into the travel space, and its first new global ranking since the launch of The World’s 50 Best Bars in 2009.

Having opened less than a year ago, Passalacqua in Moltrasio, Italy, has been named The World’s Best Hotel 2023. In the No.2 spot is the towering Rosewood Hong Kong, set in the city’s Victoria Dockside arts and design district with stunning views over the harbour. 

At No.3, Four Seasons Bangkok at Chao Phraya River closely followed by luxury boutique hotel, The Upper House, Hong Kong at No.4, and Aman Tokyo in the fifth spot. 

The list features industry-defining hotels from 35 different locations across six continents worldwide and includes 18 hotels in Asia. Europe receives the most nominations (21), followed by Asia (18), North America (6), Africa (3), Oceania (1) and South America (1).
