The Peninsula Hong Kong extends sailings of its hugely popular afternoon tea at sea

Legendary hotel, The Peninsula Hong Kong, has extended sailings of its hugely popular The Peninsula Afternoon Tea on the Harbour with dates added in July and August.

Since its launch in March, guests aboard the lavishly outfitted World Star have enjoyed afternoon tea and sunset cocktails at sea as part of the hotel’s 95th-anniversary celebrations and Star Ferry’s 125th anniversary.

The Peninsula Afternoon Tea on the Harbour offers guests an unparalleled sailing experience, during which they can enjoy an array of sweet and savoury bites, live music, and stunning views throughout the afternoon.

A special menu created for those enjoying The Peninsula’s famed afternoon tea aboard World Star includes savouries such as Tuna Niçoise on focaccia; Green asparagus and cheddar quiche; Beef pastrami with gherkins, and classic cucumber sandwiches.

Sweet treats include Citrus jelly and vanilla cheesecake; Apple, cinnamon and caramel tartlets; Mont-Blanc chocolate cream on a sesame biscuit; and The Peninsula’s famed raisin scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam. A selection of proprietary Peninsula teas tops off the delightful culinary voyage.
