Where to buy your Thanksgiving turkey in Hong Kong

No need to fret about burning the bird and the much dreaded clean-up. If you’re planning to host a Thanksgiving party at home, toss away your kitchen towel and order a turkey dinner from some of Hong Kong’s best restaurants instead. Here’s where and how to order whole turkeys and everything from mashed potato to pumpkin pies.

Fini’s

Old-school Italian joint Fini’s is serving a takeaway turkey dinner this Thanksgiving. The festive spread begins with a 6 to 8kg garlic butter roasted turkey along with plentiful sides including a pulled pork mac and cheese, butter roasted potatoes and charred brussels sprouts. For dessert, punters can finish off the proper feast with a freshly baked apple crumble.

Big Sur

Big Sur is offering only 30 takeaway Thanksgiving turkey sets this festive season, so you better hurry if you want to dig in and feast. Designed to cater to the whole family, the gourmet set includes a smoked 4.8kg U.S. turkey accompanied by sourdough gravy, cranberry and pickled peach. Side dishes include pork and cornbread stuffing, roasted carrots and mashed potato with ricotta cheese. Save room for classic fall desserts including bite-sized pecan pies and a basque pumpkin cheesecake.

This holiday season, Ammo is offering a Party Turkey Set catering to 6 to 8 guests. The takeaway hamper includes a 4.5kg U.S. turkey that is brined overnight; filled with stuffing made of chestnuts, onions, Italian sausages, herbs and eggs; and roasted for two hours to yield a perfectly crispy skin. The bird is accompanied by four side dishes including maple balsamic-glazed brussels sprouts, baked four cheese macaroni with truffle, sweet potato mash and a pecan pie infused with Jack Daniel’s bourbon, while add-on side dishes are available at additional prices.

The Mandarin Oriental
