Our checklist for celebrating Easter at home
With restrictions still continuing it may be hard to properly celebrate this colourful holiday. We’ve rounded up the best ways to celebrate Easter from the comfort of your own home while still having an amazing time with your family.
Decorations and supplies
First thing’s first, decorations! One of the best things about celebrating this holiday at home are the fun and colourful decorations you get to fill your house with. Most grocery stores such as PARKnSHOP and Marketplace sell Easter supplies and decorations that not only make your house look amazing but are also fun for the kids to put up. From streamers and jelly window stickers to little yellow chicks and confetti, decorating your house to fit the theme is a fun activity for the whole family.
Easter meals
Regardless of how you celebrate Easter, the food may arguably be the most important thing when celebrating at home. Have a roast or check your local restaurants on Foodpanda or Deliveroo for Easter specials, either way, your Easter meal will be thouroughly enjoyed while sharing it with your family on this special day.
Egg decorating
One of the best ways to keep the kids (and possibly adults) busy during Easter would probably be egg decorating. Try to find the whitest eggs you could possibly get as they are easier to paint on, buy some paint and glitter and start decorating! Come up with fun patterns and colours and let your imagination run wild.

Watch a movie
Hop
The films main protagonist Fred injures a rabbit who is next in line to become the Easter Bunny and takes him in until his pain subsides. Eventually, the rabbit has overstayed his welcome and starts to aggravate Fred. Throughout the movie, both Fred and the rabbit become closer, along with facing many adversities due to the rabbits rebeliousness. Definitley a great and humourous movie for both kids and adults alike.
Rise of the Guardians
Egg-hunt
Last but not least, the highlight of every Easter is the egg-hunt. Kids love waking up in the morning to chocolate eggs and variations of candy hidden around the house. A nice twist on the classic egg-hunt could be to give clues as to where the eggs are hidden as well as a big prize or surprise at the end (maybe from the Easter Bunny).
