Movember 2022: Events happening in Hong Kong
Mo Bros and Mo Sisters across Hong Kong are being encouraged to talk about men’s health openly throughout the month of November and beyond with this year’s Movember campaign. Grow your own mo, commit to a move with the #MoSteps Challenge, organise your own event, or visit one of the growing number of venues in Hong Kong where you can eat, drink, have fun and raise funds for Movember. Below is a selection of events happening across the city this month, check the Movember website for the most up-to-date information.
Sample a MO Moffy at SOMM & Amber
Head to The Landmark Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong to sample cocktails created exclusively for Movember. The ‘MO Moffy’, available at SOMM and Amber, is a creative twist on a classic Irish coffee with Douglas Laing’s Scallywag whisky. MO Bar serves up a new take on the Old Fashioned, topped with an artisanal moustache-shaped chocolate by Conspiracy. Part of the proceeds from these sips will be donated to Movember Foundation.

Support the Million Metre Men
Two friends, Ben Cullen and George Fleming, are setting out to row one million metres across the month of November with the aim of raising $1,000,000. Support the men as they row at 20 iconic venues across Hong Kong to save lives. Check here for time and venue details.
Sip on a Frothy Tash at Club Rangoon
Common Abode will serve up two exclusive cocktails in support of Movember at their restaurants; Candour, Club Rangoon and Hjem. The easy-to-sip Frothy Tash features bourbon, raspberry liqueur, fresh lemon juice and angostura bitters while the aromatic Maple Fashioned is a twist on the Old Fashioned using bourbon, maple syrup, angostura bitters and orange bitters. A percentage of the proceeds from both cocktails will be donated to The Movember Foundation.

Complimentary shaves at Handsome Factory
Handsome Factory Barbershop are offering a complimentary wet shave service to start, and end Movember (November 1 and 30). The service will be available at all six locations with pre booking essential via WhatsApp on 9321 8498. Every Friday through Movember, Handsome Factory Barbershop will donate 15% of the proceeds of any wet shave or beard trim to Movember. Customers can also enjoy complimentary Japanese Sake.

Chew down on a Beef & Liberty Special
For every sale of the El Cabrón burger at Beef & Liberty, $10 will be donated to Movember, throughout the month. The bad-ass El Cabrón comes in hot; beef patty topped with fiery beef chilli, cheddar cheese, house pickles, spring onions & sour cream, in-between those signature toasted buns.

Clean up at Musubi Hiro
On Sundays throughout Movember (November 6, 13 & 20), head down to Izakaya-style gastropub Musubi Hiro for free-flow beer and a moustache trim in collaboration with 8to8 Barber Shop. All money goes to The Movember Foundation. On November 26, Musubi Hiro will host a movENDER party with free-flow beer, trims, waxing and competitions, again, all proceeds going to The Movember Foundation.
