Hong Kong Book Fair 2024

The 34th Hong Kong Book Fair will take place from July 17 to 23 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. This year, the fair coincides with the Sports and Leisure Expo and World of Snacks, allowing attendees to enjoy all three events with just one ticket. This provides a special chance for guests to engage in literature, sports, leisure activities, and international snacks all in one place.

Film and Television Literature

The Book Fair will focus on Film and Television Literature, with the tagline ‘Reading the World: Storytelling from Page to Screen‘. Visitors can enjoy a diverse selection of books, spanning from contemporary fiction to biographies and children’s literature, alongside over 600 engaging seminars and cultural events with well-known authors and celebrities like Erica Li, Raymond To, Joyce Chan, Norris Wong, Chiang Hiu Mei, and Law Kar.

The event will include the Art Gallery, which will display works from featured writers and acclaimed directors, as well as everything from manuscripts and movie props to posters and e-books, under the sponsorship of the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA). 

World of Art & Culture

Also under the sponsorship of the CCIDA, the World of Art & Culture area offers visitors the opportunity to discover an array of literary and cultural exhibits from around the world, including an AI-powered interactive installation allowing visitors to reimagine iconic movie scenes from global films and TV shows, including In the Mood for Love, Infernal Affairs, Kung Fu Hustle, Blade Runner and Spirited Away. 

Eight Seminar Series

Additionally, the Eight Seminar Series will return with authors, experts, and celebrities sharing and exchanging ideas on topics including Renowned Writers, English and International Reading, World of Knowledge, Children and Youth Reading, Hong Kong Cultural and Historical, Lifestyle and Personal Development and Spiritual Growth.

The Hong Kong Book Fair takes place from 10 am to 10 pm from July 17 to 22 and from 9 am to 5 pm on July 23. Admission is HK$30 for adults and HK$10 for children, with free admission for children aged three and under and adults aged 65 and over. 

Concessionary tickets, such as morning admission tickets for HK$10 and a special re-entry promotion for visitors who purchase regular adult or child tickets dated 17 or 18 July, are available.

Tickets:

Adult: HK$30

Child: HK$10 (for primary school students/children under 1.2m tall)

*Children aged 3 and under and adults aged 65 and over will be admitted free of charge.
