How to get involved in Serve-a-thon
Hong Kong’s community service week, Serve-a-thon – organised by HandsOn Hong Kong – is just around the corner.
In a city where many want to give back but don’t know how, HandsOn’s community service week–Serve-a-thon–was launched to help Hong Kongers begin their volunteering journey. During one week of service across hundreds of programs, Serve-a-thon shines a light on the incredible work of the city’s charities and empowers the community to support them and the groups they serve.
This year’s event will return from May 13-21 and will be packed with ways to engage, such as cleaning up the city, providing meals to those in need and empowering under-resourced students.
HandsOn makes it really easy for both regular and first-time volunteers. You can get involved in three simple steps:
- Register for a volunteer account
- Search the HandsOn volunteer calendar to find an activity and time to suit you
- Reserve your spot – and then turn up on the day!
