Learning from above at the highest academy in the city

sky100 Hong Kong Observation Deck encourages kindergarten, primary and secondary school students to learn more about Hong Kong from 100-stories up through their Youth Education Programmes, sky100 Academy.

Kids can explore the development and changes taking place in the city whilst enjoying the view from the 360-degree observation deck from 393m above sea level. They are also provided with workbooks to complete featuring Hong Kong-based questions. The programmes offered by sky100 Academy cover learning areas such as general studies, liberal studies, geography and other learning experiences.

Reach new heights with skyExplorer

Students and teachers are encouraged to explore and understand the development, history and culture of Hong Kong with the skyExplorer Passports, a self-guided activity, where students are directed to find out interesting facts and stories at various locations throughout the observation deck.

The 28-metre long multimedia interactive story wall displays 100 fascinating stories, some of which are even rarely-known by locals. Students will be surprised and delighted with local tales and anecdotes about Hong Kong such as its changing cityscape, traditional craftsmanship and special customs. Upon completion of the skyExplorer Passport, students will be awarded with certificates as the mementos too.

skyExplorer Programmes are divided between Young skyExplorer (K1 – P3) and Elite skyExplorer (P4 – F6) and is suited to students from kindergarten to primary school. 

Expand your horizons with the Sky-High Experience

The Sky-High Experience programme, suitable for secondary students, focuses on a wide range of learning experiences, furthering learning outside the regular school curriculum. Through interaction with the instructor in a series of activities, it promotes the development of knowledge, skills and positive learning attitudes of young adults towards technology, engineering, environmental protection and art.  

Travel back in time with the TimeLooper VR Experience

The TimeLooper VR Experience allows students to travel back in time to the old era and experience first-hand two iconic old Hong Kong scenes. With the teleportation technology, students will be “transported” to Hollywood Road back in the 1960s, as well as the Kai Tak Airport in the 1980s.

sky100 Academy welcome applications from schools and other educational organisations. Places are limited, so it is highly recommended to submit applications at your earliest convenience before the visiting date for your programme.
