As the festive season approaches, Hong Kong transforms into a sparkling wonderland filled with twinkling lights, joyful music, and, of course, bustling Christmas markets and fairs. Whether you’re hunting for unique gifts, indulging in holiday treats, or simply soaking up the festive atmosphere, the city’s vibrant markets have something for everyone. From stylish artisan fairs and luxury gift markets to family-friendly carnivals, there’s no shortage of ways to get into the holiday spirit. Here’s your guide to the best Christmas markets in Hong Kong this year, where shopping, fun, and festive cheer await!

Prestige Gift and Lifestyle Fair

Hosted by Prestige Events at the Conrad Hong Kong, this festive marketplace is packed with ideas for your seasonal shopping. Explore a wide range of vendors offering everything from home décor and gifts to fashion, accessories, gourmet treats, and more.

Holiday Curios Shopping on Christmas Street


Join the AWA for a festive shopping trip to Hong Kong’s own “Christmas Street” in Sham Shui Po. Discover Christmas curios, nutcrackers, and an array of sparkling decorations to brighten your home. Open to both members ($100) and non-members ($160), the event includes an optional lunch afterward (at participants’ own expense).

When: November 19, 10am-1pm

The City Kids Christmas Fair

Ho, Ho, Ho… The City Kids Christmas Fair is coming to town and everybody is welcome—not just City Kids’ families! 

Children will love jumping on the bouncy castle and playing on the climbing frame, before enjoying some festive-themed arts and crafts activities and face painting. There’s even word that Santa might drop by to say hello! Mums and dads can grab a coffee and catch up with friends while perusing the Christmas market to stock up on beautiful gifts from some of Hong Kong’s favourite small retailers, including Bastyle, House of Fine Wines, Retykle, and Paper-Roses. There will also be a BBQ stall by Feather & Bone, the all-important coffee cart, a parent-run homemade bake sale, and a raffle with fantastic prizes. 

City Kids is a not-for-profit school that relies heavily on fundraising, and the Christmas Fair is the biggest event of the year. Admission is free—no pre-registration is required. Follow City Kids on Facebook and Instagram for the most up-to-date information.

CDNIS Carnival

The CDNIS Carnival is packed with fun and excitement for families and children of all ages! This event offers a wide range of activities, including a VR arena, flight simulator, slipper toss, bouncy castles, obstacle course, face painting, and much more. Tickets are priced at $200 per child (aged 3-19) for advance purchases by November 15, or $250 at the door. Your ticket grants access to all games and activities, and there’s also an International Food Fair and a Christmas Bazaar with pre-sale items available now. Please note, there is no parking on-site, but a free shuttle bus service will be available to and from Wong Chuk Hang MTR and CDNIS. Don’t miss out on this fantastic day for the whole family!

Discovery Bay Christmas Market

The second of Discovery Bay’s 2024 Christmas Markets takes place at DB Plaza, offering a fantastic selection of locally crafted gifts and stocking fillers from Handmade Hong Kong. Support local artisans and embrace the holiday spirit in beautiful Discovery Bay.

When: November 24, 11:00 am – 6:00 pm

Highgate House School Holiday Bazaar

Head to The Peak for the annual Highgate House School Christmas Fair. Enjoy puppet shows, storytelling, a bake sale, a barbecue, festive breadmaking, craft activities, a silent auction, and plenty of opportunities for Christmas shopping from a variety of local vendors. Tickets are free but need to be booked in advance via Eventbrite

When: November 30, 9:30 am – 1:30 pm

The Murray Christmas Village

The Murray Christmas Village is the perfect destination to find unique holiday gifts this festive season. During the event, the hotel’s function rooms will be transformed into a vibrant holiday marketplace, offering a wide selection of festive and lifestyle products, including gifts, perfumes, wines, gourmet treats, photography, and jewellery. Guests will also be treated to a complimentary glass of mulled wine as they shop and enjoy the joyful atmosphere. 

When: December 6-8, 13-15 &  20-22 (Fridays to Sundays); 11am-7pm

Christmas House Market

The Christmas House Market returns to The Lawn and Sky Lounge, offering a curated selection of gifts from local brands, including children’s clothing, jewellery, artisanal foods, and more. There’s also a sustainability-focused kids’ workshop with hands-on activities. Enjoy mulled wine, festive snacks, and shop for unique gifts while supporting the community. 10% of profits will go to Mother’s Choice.

Handmade Hong Kong Christmas Market


Get into the holiday spirit at the Handmade Hong Kong Christmas Market at The Repulse Bay. Featuring over 50 vendors, this market offers a wide variety of unique, handcrafted gifts, including artisanal foods, fashion, accessories, home décor, and art. Whether you’re shopping for a loved one or treating yourself, there’s something special for everyone.
