A little love from Matilda International Hospital
In collaboration with Matilda International Hospital
Opened in 1907, Matilda International Hospital has a rich heritage and has been well-known for its personalised maternity care to many mothers since a decade ago. With its location at 41 Mount Kellett Road at The Peak, the hospital boasts a tranquil and beautiful environment surrounded by the beauty of nature. As its pleasant surroundings help make a mum’s birth experience extra special and soothing, many couples have commented that they feel like they are having a “birthcation” under the care of the dedicated midwives, with great food and magnificent views to boot. But if you’re worried about the location being secluded – don’t be, as Matilda International Hospital is very accessible, just a 15 minutes ride from downtown.
Even and especially during Covid-19, new mums are given lots of support from a professional team of midwives, and clerical, administrative and housekeeping staff. Their partners are still able to visit them during the birth journey – including spending time in the room with the baby, cutting the cord in the delivery room or operating theatre, or even having skin-to-skin contact with the baby early on. Private room guests can also stay overnight.
Outbreak response 2022
The hospital, praised for its open, modern approach to maternity care, allows mothers-to-be to choose their own obstetrician. Apart from their self-arranged package, Matilda International Hospital has introduced Special Maternity Care Packages in response to the coronavirus outbreak, the package is specially designed for mothers who wish to transfer from public hospitals and prefer to deliver their baby in a private hospital amid the outbreak.
Mothers joining the special packages will stay in a standard room and they can join the fixed-price Matilda antenatal care package and have a designated obstetrician arranged to care for them throughout their pregnancy.
The care doesn’t end with the birth of the baby – upon returning home, new mothers can continue visiting their obstetrician for wound assessment and postnatal check. Matilda’s community midwife can also continue to visit them at home to ensure their wellbeing, as well as to provide support on breastfeeding.
In addition, if couples want to upgrade to a VIP room from a private room during their stay, they can enjoy a 50 percent discount.
The Outbreak Response 2022 promotion is available for mothers who will be delivering between now and 30 June 2023.
Extended Stay Package
To further take it easy during this period, the hospital is also offering a Maternity Extended Stay Package in a private room with a balcony. Mothers will receive physiotherapy; baby care should they need to head out; nutritional support and dietetic consultation; meals from the a la carte menu; complimentary gifts; and limousine service at discharge as part of the package. Titled “A little extra love from Matilda”, the 7-day package is valid until the end of the year and is reserved for patients who have completed the delivery package.
