Indeed, it is not difficult to see why Repulse Bay is so revered by the elite – the beauty of its beaches, as well as the area’s colonial architecture from the 1920s, stuns locals and tourists alike.

How to get there
There are numerous ways to get to Repulse Bay. From Central, take bus 6, 6A, 6X or 260 at Exchange Square Bus Terminus. From Causeway Bay, take minibus 40 at Jardine’s Bazaar. Or, simply hail a cab from wherever you are.
Things to do
Repulse Bay Beach
Repulse Bay’s most notable attraction is undoubtedly its beach. Frequently rated Grade 1 in water quality by the Environmental Protection Department, the wide and sandy bay is popular with visitors for sunbathing or swimming. Facilities include changing rooms, toilets, shower facilities, a playground and a beach volleyball court.

The Pulse
Opened in 2016, The Pulse is a 167,000-square-foot shopping mall conveniently located next to Repulse Bay Beach. The beachside complex comprises six storeys, offering everything you could possibly need from restaurants and shops to a family club and spacious rooftop space.

The Repulse Bay
The Repulse Bay is made up of a residential complex, two award-winning restaurants and a shopping arcade. It offers a broad range of boutiques and lifestyle facilities, including an art house for children, a bookstore, a furniture store and even a dental clinic.

Tin Hau Temple
Soak up the culture at Tin Hau Temple, located on the far corner of Repulse Bay Beach. The historic structure is rumoured to be one of the oldest in Hong Kong, and alongside it, you’ll find two statues of Tin Hau and Kwun Yam, as well as a Chinese-style garden that paves the way to the sandy bay.

The leading day spa has locations across Hong Kong, but its Repulse Bay branch is arguably the best with views overlooking the beach. Treat yourself to a massage or facial and leave feeling pampered.

Maggie & Rose
Located inside The Pulse, Maggie & Rose is a members-only club that caters to kids and families with its creative play areas and onsite café for the adults to hang around. The space is beautifully designed with various nautical-themed soft play areas and a spacious outdoor playground on the rooftop. The family club also offers a host of activity classes for your kids from cooking to music and arts.

Amalfitana
Drawing inspiration from the Amalfi Coast, Amalfitana offers a range of artisan pizzas that you can enjoy by the beach. Italian-born chef Michel Degli Agosti, who has trained and worked as a pizzaiolo in Italy and London, heads the culinary team. Expect a menu that is rooted with tradition but modernised for Hong Kong’s savvy diners.

A staple in Hong Kong’s café scene, Classified’s Repulse Bay location overlooks the sandy shores of the city’s southern coast. Here, you can order classic brunch dishes, as well as a special selection of artisan cheeses that are changed up every month.

Limewood
For fresh seafood with a twist, drop by Limewood.
