Hong Kong Tramways partners with Pantone to launch Colour of the Year 2022 “Very Peri” Tram
Hong Kong Tramways teamed up with Pantone last year to create a colour that’s synonymous with the city: “HK Tram Green“, as to mark the 117th anniversary of the iconic Ding Ding.

This year, the colour institute has created a new colour, PANTONE® 17-3938 Very Peri, as its Colour of the Year 2022. Blending the constancy of blue with the excitement of red, the new colour introduces an empowering mix of newness and signifies a joyous attitude that encourages creativity and imaginative expression. These qualities match seamlessly with Hong Kong Tramways’ commitment towards innovation and vibrancy, the new collaboration continues to showcase our landmark Ding Ding as an innovative and pleasant mode of transport.
From March onwards, the world’s first official “Very Peri” Tram (#30) will travel along the Hong Kong Island, to bring a warm and encouraging message for our city, with the strong belief of a promising future in spite of the challenges of the current circumstances.
