Tom is an award winning writer and editor who trained on Fleet Street and local newspapers. He has been in Hong Kong since 1991. He invented The List Magazine (2005), redesigned HK Magazine (2007) and during SARS (2003) he created the I Love HK campaign. He founded Hong Kong Living in 2009.

Hilda graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in Sociology and had previously worked at Apple Daily. She loves traveling and cooking. She has a tiny dog, Mochi. During the weekend, you'll probably spot her in the Dog Park playing with Mochi.

Shreena Patel

Got a Southside secret? Heard some interesting news? Fighting a local cause? Shreena wants to hear from you. Hailing from London, her background is in Economics and she previously worked at HSBC. At the weekend you can find her drawing, on one of Southside’s trails, getting a foot massage or stocking up at the M&S bakery.

Carolynne Dear

Carolynne earned her journalism chops in London and Sydney, writing news and feature articles for a variety of publications, from finance and architecture, to travel and health, the environment and women’s issues. She has been partying and writing her way round Hong Kong since 2010, launching Southside for Fast Media in 2011, and now editing Expat Parent. She has a husband and four children and blogs about work, family and life in the Territory at beyondthehighrise.wordpress.com.

Eric Ho

After spending his entire life in the UK, Eric decided he wanted to learn and understand his Chinese roots so made the leap and moved to Hong Kong at the start of 2016. He has a deep love for travel, photography and sharing stories through writing; so when out of the office you can usually find him exploring with a camera in hand.

Adele Brunner

After saying goodbye to her dream job as travel editor for Brides magazine in London, Adele has lived and worked in Hong Kong for 17 years. As well as freelancing for the South China Morning Post and other publications, she is senior consulting editor at Fast Media, where she has contributed to all the magazines across the board including a stint as editor of Expat Parent. In her spare time, she’s an unpaid taxi driver to three sporty children.

Kate is senior consulting editor for The Expat Dining Guide and a senior writer for Expat Parent Magazine. Kate was features editor for HK Magazine and is Founding Editor of The Loop HK.

Catharina Cheung

Editorial Assistant
After living in Singapore, Beijing, and the UK, Catharina has decided to return to her birthplace Hong Kong. With a Masters in Literary Linguistics, she enjoys learning foreign languages and writing short fiction. She also has a background in operatic theatre and unashamedly belts out a medley of show tunes, Disney, and K-pop in the shower.

Cora Chan

After studying in Brighton, Cora has returned to Hong Kong to pursue a degree in English and Comparative Literature at HKU. Outside of work, she can be spotted at jamming sessions and gigs, or petting every dog she sees on the street.

Anna is our graphic designer. She moved to Hong Kong two years ago and has been loving the city ever since. She loves exploring the hills and beaches for getting inspiration. Besides art and travelling she is passionate about animals and just started to learn to play the ukulele.

Currently pursuing a graphic design degree at London Central Saint Martins, photography-loving Julia loves to bring her film camera everywhere. She enjoys chilling on the beach and exploring Hong Kong historical sites. You can always spot her at weekend markets hunting for goodies and great food!

British born Hong Kong based photographer Graham Uden is a legend for his award-winning magazine stories from world war-zones and Asian hot spots. He currently specialises in corporate and commercial photography, especially aerial. If you see someone dangling out of a helicopter, flying over Central… it’s probably Graham.

Boris Burgess

Videographer
From the very first time he picked up a video camera, Boris knew that videography would be his pursuit in life. He has written, produced and shot short films in Australia and has now set up a full-service creative agency in Hong Kong.
